About Us
Management Policy of Our Clinic
Thanks to your support, it has been 40 years since our clinic opened its doors as a veterinary clinic in Midori-ku, Yokohama.
In the ever-evolving world of veterinary medicine, the acquisition of new techniques and knowledge is our most important task.
On the other hand, it is also a characteristic of “veteninary practitioners" that they are unable to achieve sufficient treatment results based on "medical technology" alone. There are several conditions that are necessary, but we feel that the most important factor of all is to build a good relationship of trust with pet owners. This is because veterinary care for pets is nothing but a joint effort of three parties: the pets themselves, their owners, and the veterinarian.
To that end,
・We aim to maintain a clean, bright, and spacious facility as a veterinary hospital facility.
・We provide sincere and courteous medical care, ensuring sufficient time for each case.
・We will make every effort to explain medical conditions and treatment plans (e.g., through the use of written explanations).
・We listen to the opinions of owners and respect their requests as much as possible.
・We put a lot of effort into training dogs and cats to make them easy to keep and easy to treat.
If you have moved to Japan from overseas, you may be confused by the differences between your home country and Japan. We will provide you with appropriate advice so that you can live with your animals smoothly.
We will continue to make every effort to ensure that what we can do will be realized one by one, so that we can continue to be a hospital that is of service to everyone.

Requests for your visit
If you wish to receive treatment in English, please make an appointment beforehand (by phone, call 045-984-4652, or follow the inquiry form).
If we are aware of any medical conditions beforehand, we can make necessary preparations to welcome you, therefore please let us know how long your pet has been sick, any changes in the environment, etc. before coming to the clinic.
Then, we will be able to provide you with the most efficient medical care if you are aware of the patient's medical condition and other necessary information.
If your pet has diarrhea
Please bring their stools feces in plastic wrap or a plastic bag for stool fecal analysis.
If your pet is vomiting
Please bring their vomit in a plastic container.
If your pet has eaten something that should not have been eaten
Please bring with you any item (packaging, instructions, etc.) that identifies the contents of the food your pet have eaten.
For dogs
Please come to the hospital with a leash on your dog's body or collar.
For cats and rabbits
Please bring your cat or rabbit in a carrying bag.
If your cat is scared, easily frightened, it is better to put it in a laundry net or something similar.
For small birds and small rodents
Please bring your bird in a small container, such as a bug cage. If possible, please bring a separate cage (this will provide useful information such as the condition of the feces on the cage).
Please do not bring a water container.
Please take care to keep the animal warm.
Our Team
Director Dr. Shoko Kondo DVM |
Dr. Shoko Kondo is the Director of Kondo Pet Clinic. She was born in Nagatsuta, Midoriku, Yokohama. She graduated from Toyo Eiwa women's University with a Bachelor degree.
Her first career was in the field of import-export business at an international graphic computer company. Three years later, she decided to join a startup company as a sales marketing manager.
She decided to change her career to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a veterinarian, eventually earning her DVM from Azabu University. Immediately following her graduation, she worked as a medical intern at the Japan Animal Medical Refferal Center（Jarmec）and some other veterinary clinics in Japan.
Dr. Kondo specializes in internal medicine, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and reproductive medicine. She spends her off time enjoying travel and time with her family and her beloved dog, Mameko.
